The best weekend was had in CNY

Oh, my gracious. Y'all are gonna be so jealous cause I just had the most wonderful time at CNY. I laughed so much. Oh, and what I learned could fill a book. WOW!! What you find out - it is absolutely jaw dropping and even a little bitter sometimes. Right, Patty and Miriam? So, what did I learn? Here's my list...

Meg cannot navigate. We took two tours of downtown Allentown inadvertently.
Sarah, Patti, and Deb taught us how to talk like a New Englander (can you say "Brender"?)
Patty is gonna rename the drop jaw emoticon on SS to the "Amy" look. I know, shut my mouth.
Mary knows more about psychology and what makes people tick than most of us.
Karen C. is a fantastic teacher for stamping and card making.
Karen M. is still the best storyteller around - her poor aunts. Do that walk again, Karen.
Gaye is an absolute hoot. I won't tell her to "Shut up, Gaye." 'cause I was too busy guarding my cookie.
Julia, Jan, Joy, Jeanne, and Miriam are going to be absolutely famous with their new scrap formula "3 Straight, 2 Askew - it's an easy thing to do." I promise to "live" the formula. I can only hope to make the design team and be worthy of their praise.
Sharon is the absolute best Secret Sister and dang if she isn't a little sneaky.
Patty V. is the best roomie. She didn't care that I came in at 2 AM with our creaky doors.
Christie and Beth know "their" types even at 1 AM.
Shirley and Michelle are the go to gurus for digi scrappin. Thanks for the advice, M. about PhotoShop. Some day I will be joining you.
Shirley has a temper when it comes to her friends.
Shari make pina coladas in a unique way without a blender top, and they were yummy.
Liz looked like a new woman after that massage.
Oh, and who could forget the firefighters? Hum? Yeah, that's what I thought, too. Maybe if we had left the room, there would be a memory. But then again, Patty's laugh said it all.

I guess the best part was just dilligaf.

xoxo and love to all my CNY friends.

SS Blog Challenge

The first one I actually participated in. I am lazy.

Blog Challenge #12 - Getting To Know

**don't have the photo to post now...will work on that ;-)

1) Right now I want: time to go scrap and unpack from Patti's crop that was 2 week's ago

2) I wish I knew how to: say no; knit; make myself go down to the home gym more

3) When I want to indulge myself, I: buy what I want (within reason - no 40" plasmas here)

4) You’ll never see me: wearing a size 5 again, sigh...

5) A childhood memory that I love: spending the day with my grandmother, going to Rose's and buying a toy, Grammy making her wonderful hamburgers in the cast iron skillet

6) 2 things I do every single day: get up :-); go to bed

7) Happiest moment of 2008, so far: spending time with my dad and he actually feels better

8) Describe yourself in 3 words: boring, opininated, anal

9) 2 scrap related goals for this year: to get it done and to get it done

10) You have $40 that you MUST spend on yourself – what do you do with it? new jeans in a size 8 or 10 petite (but that involves the $40 and 40 fewer pounds)

VENT...

UGH....that's all. No move along - nothing to see here but craziness. Someone with too much on their plate today.

My budding artist...

Has discovered her love of painting. Now she wants to go to Michael's and purchase more birdhouses.

I love my kids at the beach

Never had a chance to post these from our March trip to the g-parents. Kids had a blast - I realized how much I miss living seven minutes from the ocean. I miss the smell. I miss the wind and the warmth.

The best day ever...

is coming soon!!! CNY retreat is right around the corner. This is an semi-annual retreat in White Eagle that I attend with friends. The scenery is gorgeous, but the friends and companionship are even better. Phenomenal. These wonderful women come together to scrap, tell stories, share triumphs, tragedies and everything in between. It is heartwarming to see this amount of women come together and get along. It is such a rarity these days - women are the worst critics and judges of each other. How did we get to be so judgmental and unforgiving? I am just ever so grateful that these wonderful women are the exact opposite. There are no judgments placed on anyone. We can go with messy hair, crappy clothes and no make-up. The head cheerleader and Queen Bee has been left behind (at least for a weekend.)

Anyway, I really digress. My brain is mush from teaching, monitoring and talking with Julia tonight. She reminded me of all of the fantastic people coming (besides herself, of course!! love ya, Julia xoxox) Patti, Meg, Mary, Patty, Sharon, Weezie, Liz, Christy, Lee, Miriam (Anonomy and Panonomy), etc... Then all of the new ladies too - Jeanne, Sherri, Melissa, Sarah, and on and on. I am just counting the days.

I think I have my babysitter situation fixed - pray and keep your toes and fingers crossed. Mommy needs a break since I am "nanny deprived."
